Let's investigate the casted light metal alloy parts with non destructive technologies, like industrial X-Ray to localize problematic spots. Show the results to the supplier, and motivate him to find the solution.
Tight cooperation with material testing laboratories, and suppliers, resulting improved quality, and decreasing rejects.
FOUNDRY PLOT WITH CASTINGS
Casted aluminium parts before sawing of the inlets and risers. In the foregrund some fresh sliced parts for quick investigations. Unfortunately this technique is a destructive one. Sliced parts aren't more usable.
INDUSTRIAL X-RAY PICTURES
The white round shaped spots - air bubbles, or shrink holes - in the gray aluminium material are clearly showing the lack of consistancy in the investigated part. X-ray isn't destructive technology.
